Who is paying for what?
This has been where we ran into the most difficulty, as we kept trying to make plans and reservations the problems crept up. A deposit was needed in some cases, in others a cancellation fee was required when someone canceled. This is what is mainly stopping us from making this an organizational thing and reverted to an individual thing.
So what that means is that everyone planning to attend is responsible for their own reservations and rooms. There are a huge variety of rooms at the Ramada Plaza, and depending what you want, the rates are really reasonable.
By doing things this way we do run a danger of there not being enough rooms there but I think that the chances of that are small, additionally, the Akron-Canton area is certainly not short of hotels, this much I know in trying to find one that suited our needs. It wasn’t as if there was not enough, it was there were too many choices.
As far as transportation is concerned, most people are driving and the biggest concern is directions, however, some people plan to fly, so I have posted directions from the major cities nearby.
If you can make it to one of these cities but have absolutely no way of getting to the hotel let us know and we’ll see what we can do about helping you.
